In The Clear by Tamara Morgan

I was in a bit of a funk today, trying to decide what to read. Did I want to reread a favorite, or did I want to read something new? Finally, I looked through my Netgalley catalog and found a recently offered book that had a cutesy storyline. As a bonus, it’s a novella…and y’all know how much I love novellas. 🙂

I received In the Clear by Tamara Morgan from Netgalley and Ms. Morgan herself and let me tell you, I love love love this author’s style.  I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed the story.  The length was perfect for my short attention span and the storyline was fantastic.

The Good:  Fletcher ::sigh::.  Tall, responsible, and a secret hero. Swoon.  The comedy was right on, I even laughed out loud with a scene involving Fletcher’s boss and his hunting knife.

The Not-So-Good: Lexie seemed a little too ditzy or naive, but it was tolerable. Her brother just pissed me off. I had no love for his character.  Also, I wish there was an epilogue. I wanted more of them actually together. The ending felt too rushed. I know it’s a series, but are we going to be getting more of Fletcher in it as a secondary character?

Overall:  I highly recommend In The Clear by Tamara Morgan. It’s silly, sexy, and a fast read.  My only disappointment is now I have to wait until who knows when for the next book…and hope there’s a glimpse of Fletcher and Lexie.

4 out of 5 stars!!
